2 week Fashion brief

We were given a two week fashion brief to day in a group in this session, we were told that we had to choose a brand of clothing and create a four peg editorial for a magazine of our choice. We were allowed to use post production on the shots and we had to involve some form of flash lighting either a semi manual flash, a studio range kit or a quadra kit. We were told to consider typography, layout, front page and a were also told we needed a mix of shots including a close up, a mid  and a full length shot.
We were told that we should all create roles within our group and make a digital mood board that reflected our ideas. We have decided as group to use the fashion range All Saints and use the magazine Nylon.We want to create a very dark gothic style to out images and make theme look quite grungy i think this will reflect the brands style quite well. We also want to photograph in a run down area. These are first thoughts.

Blog research

In this PPP session we discusses and furthered our knowledge on blogs. We looked at how blogs can be used in different styles and how important it is to use your own and also look at other peoples blogs. We looked at how their are different blogs for different uses. For example some blog sites are used to create an online diary such as blogger and tumbler.
We also were given some tips on how to make our blog interesting such as post inspiring and innovative thoughts,be regular blogger - blog often (oops!), find to what you are comfortable writing about and sharing with the public, some people feel more comfortable than others and be creative with you blog. If i am honest i haven't really enjoyed blogging so far, i have found it a bit boring. I never really liked writing diaries when i was younger and i think i see my blog as sort of online diary and haven't really enjoyed it so far. However at this PPP session we looked at other peoples blogs and i think i have been inspired to make my blog more interesting. Here are some of the blogs i liked ......

run by Birmingham Royal ballet, i found it interesting because it showed another part of the art world which i do not normally look at and it has a really interesting layout and is a good example of how to advertise and event.

The other blog i was impressed by was Problogger, it is a blog that helps bloggers with the technical side of blogging, it also gives you useful tips on how to make your blog successful.
